This special event is to honor the life and work of the wonderful Ted (Edgar E.) Coons, renowned NYU psychology professor, researcher in brain functions, and energetic catalyst in the multimedia performance movements in New York in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Ted was an early mentor to David Rosenboom in his early career activities in biofeedback and the arts. Rosenboom will give a presentation on those multimedia movements, highlighting the history of New York’s Electric Circus, Electric Ear events, Intermedia Institute at Automation House, the New York Biofeedback Quartet and his early installation-performance work, Ecology of the Skin.
