David Rosenboom performs new works exploring propositional worlds utilizing live electronics and software, piano, electric violin, brains, & more. The program will be selected from recent works appearing on Rosenboom’s new double-CD from PARMA/Ravello Records: Portable Gold and Philosophers’ Stones (Deviant Resonances), The Right Measure of Opposites, Earth Encomium, Nothingness is Unstable and Music for Unstable Circuits (+Piano/+Violin). This event also celebrates the tenth anniversary of Black Truffle Records and the rerelease on Black Truffle of Rosenboom’s legendary album Brainwave Music in a two-disc package adding adding another legendary performance never released before of Rosenboom’s pioneering work involving extended musical interface with the human nervous system, On Being Invisible that took place in 1977 at Western Front, Vancouver.
